The New version of GTCL website

I am very happy to take the webmaster job of GTCL website from Mr.Dutton who is one of my most respectable chess people in Canada. I would like to keep Mark's version on going to let chess people easily get information from torontochess.org and remind our friends, Mr.Dutton's style still in Toronto although Mr.Dutton is going to go to BC. Meanwhile, I will try my best to offer this beta content-version based on Drupal CMS with php and XML technology to organize chess information well. I am constructing the site right now. You can access this site by http://torontochess.org/drupal/

Brentwood Library is seeking the possibility of running a chess club

Brentwood Library, a branch of the Toronto Public Library System, is in the process of putting together its Fall programme line up. They are looking into the possibility of running a chess club at Brentwood.

They are looking for an chess instructor to lead the programme and teach the participants how to play the game of chess. They are intending to offer this programme to children/youth who are 10-15 years of age. They would like to run the chess club on Tuesday's at 4pm starting October 7 and ending November 25 for a total of 8 weeks.

Would any chess friends be interested in assisting the library with this programme? Please contact Jennifer Lio, who is Teen Services Librarian in the Brentwood District Library. The contact phone is 416-394-5240 and email is jlio@torontopubliclibrary.ca.
