December 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30

 

***** A SIX ROUND SWISS TOURNAMENT*****

 

TIME CONTROL: GAME in 150 minutes

 

Two games on Tuesday, Dec. 26 at 11am  & 5:30 pm

then one game per day Dec 27 thru 30 starting at 6:30 pm.

 

ENTRY FEE:  $55 (cash  /or cheques r'cd by Dec 24)

Non-members of BGC: $25 extra.

Late Fee: on day of tournament  $10 extra.

 

PRIZES: 100% of entry fees (5% to go to GTCL Grand Prix fund),
class prizes awarded according to turnout in rating groups.

EARLY BIRD door prizes.  Enter by December 17 and your name will be entered into a draw for full entry fee rebate ( $55 ) . This will be awarded in cash at the end of the tournament.  One or more of these prizes will be awarded and may be won in addition to any other prizes you may have won.

5) Labour Day Open - September 2-4, 6 rounds - COMPLETED FINAL CFC RATED CROSSTABLES

GTCL Grand Prix 2007
Greater Toronto Chess League is pleased to announce Grand Prix 2007 series! 
 GTCL invites all chess clubs and organizers submit their bids for the Grand Prix 2007 tournaments!

GTCL Grand Prix 2007 series will include the following 5 tournaments: 

1)  March Open – March 16-18, 5 rounds

2)  Toronto Open – April 6-8, 6 rounds

3)  Canada Day Open – June 29-July 1, 5 rounds

4)  Thanksgiving Open – October 6-8, 6 rounds

5)  Holidays Open – December 26-30, 6 rounds  

Grand Prix prizes will be awarded to players who get the most points accumulated for all 5 tournaments in the following 5 categories:

1)   Open,

2)   Under 2200,

3)   Under 2000,

4)   Under 1800,

5)   Under 1600.

 

5% from each tournament’s prize fund will be set aside for Grand Prix fund.

CFC Membership is required.
