Advance Registration Only:      $15 per player. Pay at site.

Prizes:         For every 4 participants, 1 player will receive a fully paid entry to the Ontario High School Chess Championship, a thirty-five dollar value.

                        Automatic free ribbon / chess champion button prizes for all participants.

Schedule:      Check In           9:00 am –  9:30 am             Round 3          1:35 pm – 3:05 pm

                        Round 1            9:30 am – 11:00 am            Round 4          3:10 pm – 4:40 pm

                        Round 2          11:05 am – 12:35 pm           Round 5          4:45 pm – 6:15 pm

                        Lunch 12:35 pm –  1:35 pm           Closing          6:15 pm – 6:30 pm­

Bring: Chess Set & Clock.

            We’ll be selling chess sets and clocks, and other merchandise at location.

There will also be pizza and pop on sale for lunch at 12:15 PM

The Ontario High School Chess Championship 2007 (Fri May 11 – Sun May 13)  will be held at Trent University, Peterborough. A highway coach service will be available from Toronto.

Students in Grades 7 and 8 (“Junior High School”) are most welcome.

Students in Grades 1 through 6, who can compete with older players, are also welcome.

Students stay in the university residence; some students and parents stay in nearby hotels.

In addition to Individual Prizes, the tournament offers Team Prizes and Combined Team Prizes:

A team consists of the top 3 players from a school in one section;

A combined team consists of  3  players: the top player in each section from the same school.
