Toronto-Montreal-Ottawa-Quebec City Match
Date: Saturday, September 10, 2005

We want you to help us field our strongest possible team!.
Here are some details:
Site: Kingston
Date Saturday, September 10, 2005
Schedule:
1st Round - 11:00 a.m.
2nd Round - 1:30 p.m.
3rd Round - 4:00 p.m.
Closing Banquet - 6:30 p.m.
Time Control: 60 minutes plus 5 second incrementation for each player.
Scoring: Match points first (In other words, winning a match against the other city is most important). In the case of a tie at the end of the event, we then use total game points scored to break the tie.
The event is sponsored by the Chess'n Math Association as part of our 20th anniversary celebrations.
Appearance Fee money will be provided as follows:
Grandmasters - $150
International Masters - $100
Certified Canadian or Quebec Masters - $25

Top team - $800
2nd Place - $400
3rd Place - $200
4th Place - $100

Type: Active Swiss
Time Control: SD/ 30 min
Entry Fee: $30 all players, $5 discount for juniors (under 18) and seniors ( 65 or older)
Cash only at site (ATM available).
Half Price entry fee for new full CFC members (membership bought on-site)
Sections: Open and under 1600
Prizes: $$BEN and trophies or book prizes for under 1600 section.
Registration: 8:30 am – 9:00 am;
Round Times: 9:15 am , 10:30, lunch, 1:00 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:30 pm

4th Annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Open

Date: October 14-16, 2005
Place: Kitchener City Hall, 200 King St. W., Kitchener, ON
Rds: Five (5)
Type: Regular Swiss by sections
Times: Friday; at 7:00 pm, Saturday/Sunday at 9:30 am and 3:30 pm
TC: Friday Sudden death/120 min:
Sat. and Sun, moves/90 min + sudden death/60 min.
Fees: $40 per player, less $10 for juniors and seniors (over 65 a)
$10 late fee after October 12.
Sect: Open ( over 2000), U2000, U1600. You must be within 200 points to play up a section
Prizes: $$BEN  and trophies and prizes for U1600 section
Advance Registration: Makes cheques payable and mail to Ed Thompson
