GTCL 2008/09 Club Competition

We are starting a new GTCL club competition season !!! The same three events as the last year: Premier League, Under 2000 League, and Cup competition. The slightly changed rules are presented here as a simple unformatted text, and as an formatted more extended version in the attached PDF file.

Print the PDF file and share with your chess friends, build teams and actively participate in competitions. Your questions and submissions should be emailed to egis@kris-egis.com till October 31.

To promote interest and participation in chess at all levels for the purpose of increasing the popularity of the game, the Greater Toronto Chess League (GTCL) invites all Greater Toronto chess clubs participate in the Club Competition administrated by the Club Coordinator.

Brentwood Library is seeking the possibility of running a chess club

Brentwood Library, a branch of the Toronto Public Library System, is in the process of putting together its Fall programme line up. They are looking into the possibility of running a chess club at Brentwood.

They are looking for an chess instructor to lead the programme and teach the participants how to play the game of chess. They are intending to offer this programme to children/youth who are 10-15 years of age. They would like to run the chess club on Tuesday's at 4pm starting October 7 and ending November 25 for a total of 8 weeks.
