Instructional Chess Tournaments for Children on Sundays
Location: Finch & Yonge (Finch subway station)
5635 Yonge Street, Suites 201-202, Toronto, M2M 3S9
*Please note that TTC parking is free on Sundays
Tournament Fee: $18 per student (Yuri’s students pay $15).
Family Discount: second child pays $12, and third child pays $8
Prepaying for several tournaments allows for additional discount. Registration: 3:30 - 3:55 PM.
All students/players will be divided into groups by skill level.
We strongly encourage you to pre-register by phone or e-mail prior to the tournament to improve the administration process.
Start Time: 4:00 P.M.
Finish Time: most games finish by 6:00 P.M., however, please note that advanced players typically take about an hour longer to finish their games.
All participants are rewarded with ribbons, medals, or trophies depending on the players’ success in the tournament.
All games are rated by Chess’n Math Association (www.chess-math.org). Games for the top groups will also be rated by Chess Federation of Canada (www.chess.ca).
