OHSCC:
Winners – Please register your school and yourself as soon as possible at http://ohsca.on.ca
Select the option that you will send your cheque for the entry fee.
I shall send a cheque next week to cover all 4 players.
You may pay on-line or send your personal cheque to cover meals and accommodation.
If any wish to make use of the TSSCL bus, please let me know within 1 week.

Other players:
I would encourage all players, coaches, and parents to register players for this event.
You can find all details at the website.
Like our tournament, it is an Individual swiss system tournament.
Unlike ours, it is in 3 sections: Championship, Intermediate, Beginner – you play at your level.
Unlike ours, there are also Team Prizes.
A team consists of 3 players from one school in the same section.
A Combined Team consists of 1 player in each section from the same school.
For schools with more than 3 players, the top 3 form the team.

You’ll meet lots of players (usually 150+) from around Ontario.
You’ll get a glimpse of student life on a university campus (especially for senior students).
You’ll play some good chess at your level.

Please consider carefully.
The deadline is coming soon near the end of April.
If you wish to join our bus there and back, I really need to know by next Fri Apr 25.

Annual Meeting for Conveners, Coaches, Senior Students, and Parents
Wed Apr 30 @ 4 pm at the Catholic Education Centre, 80 Sheppard Ave E.

Please plan to attend!
We hope to see 1 or 2 representatives from each League school at the Annual Meeting.

We’ll discuss: -- reports of the past season
-- dates for 2008-2009
-- possible changes to the rules / the Team Championships
-- sites for 2008-2009 (Would you like to host the TC or the IC ?)

Conveners:
Are you in the West Region (Etobicoke / Western North York) ?
Our Convener, Mr Tony Dodds, has retired from teaching.
We thank him for many years as Convener and as Coach of his teams at Don Bosco CSS and Fr Henry Carr CHS.
We really need a new Convener or Co-Conveners for the West Region!

Chris Field,
Tournament Director;
President, TSSCL.
