Date: October 19th - 21st, 2007

Location: RA Centre
- 2451 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, Ontario
- beside the Billings Bridge transit station: http://www.octranspo.com/Main_MenuE.asp
- free parking, onsite cafeteria & licensed restaurant/bar

Rounds/Type: 5-round Swiss, rated CFC Regular
- at least 2 sections, based on player distribution

Round Times:
- Friday: 7pm
- Saturday: 10am & 4pm
- Sunday: 9am & 3pm

Byes: up to 2 half-point byes within the first 3 rounds
- such byes must be requested before previous round
- byes for Round 1 must be requested when registering
- all other requested byes will be considered 0-point

Time Control: 2 hours + 30 seconds increment per move
(if no digital clock, then analog equivalent is GAME/2.5hours)

Entry Fee: the standard entry fee is $50
- there will be a $5 rebate for players who pay before (Canadian) Thanksgiving!
- there is a $5 discount for members of the RA Chess Club
- there is also an Amateur option for $25 (no other discount & ineligible for prizes)
- if CFC membership expired, you can renew at the same time
(note the option of a CFC tournament membership for only $10)

Prize Fund: based on entries, and player distribution

Registration:
- mail: cheque to "NNOCC", Box-11021, Station-H, Ottawa, K2H-7T8
(include email address or phone number, for registration confirmation)
- RA club: to Aris Marghetis, Thursdays to October 18th (cash), after 7pm
- onsite: cash + $10 late fee, and at least 1 hour before the next round

More Information:
- standard paper boards & plastic chess sets provided
- digital clocks preferred, with some available for rent
- U14 players must have contact number(s) with them
- note strict enforcement of law 12.2-b:
if your electronic device rings, you lose
- and of course: no computers, no smoking, etc.
